The Beauty of Language Tapes

AS the world becomes multilingual day by day, there’s now a growing demand of language tapes. Language tapes can be bought in two ways – in your traditional retail store and online. Language tapes are so easy to learn because the speakers in the language tapes offer you the most basic in the language that you are learning.
Take English for example. A beginner’s language tape in English will teach you all the basic vocabulary words in English. There is no twang in the speaker’s or the instructor’s voice as the pronunciations must be monotonous as what you can hear on television. Here in the United States, there is a big demand for language tapes so embarking on the business of language tapes will really be profitable indeed.
As of today, there are 28.4 million immigrants in the United States, most of them coming from non-English speaking countries. If you want to sell your language tape at about $10 each and let’s say only five million will avail of your language tape, that’s still a lot of money. And I’m just talking here of a beginner’s language tape. There will also be language tapes for the intermediate and the advanced levels. All of these language tapes are ably researched by qualified persons certified by the appropriate bodies so you can ensure of a very quality product.
I’m just talking about the immigrants earlier. There are also several more people who are in dire need of language tapes who are Americans – the minorities who never speak English. These are the Latinos. The Hispanics or the Latinos as we call them number greatly in the United States. In fact, they are the biggest minority in the country. Many modern Hispanics are now enticed to learn English not just because of the passage of the No Child Left Behind Act but because these people have realized that majority of the people in this nation speak the language and they need to know it so they can better deal with these people especially in the arenas of business and lobbying.
And with No Child Left Behind, English is slowly taught to children even during the preschool stage. In public schools, the US Education Department spends a great deal of money in purchasing language tapes for children. That’s a lot of institutions and a lot of kids nationwide. Add in to that the private schools.
It’s not just English language tapes which are reproduced and sold. If a Caucasian embarks on a business and pleasure mission in Cancun, then he or she needs to have at least a command or two of the Spanish language. If the business is urgent or if the person is busy, then there will definitely be no time to enroll even in an online language school. So the only alternative is buying a Spanish language tape. Once you’ll have the language tape of your choice, and then don’t listen to it in a passive manner. Learn as if you’re paying attention to a college lecturer.
